19:30 Benoit Martiny Band
Formed in 2004 the Benoit Martiny Band’s roots are in the dusty garage of its leader’s
house, in the small luxemburgish village of Rameldange. In this place, that still frequently
hosts the band’s rehearsal, through the years drummer Benoit Martiny developed
with his bandmates an original musical style, that draws its identity from the
composite background of the musicians, ranging from jazz and blues to garage rock,
trash, experimental noise. The band released “Jazz goes Garage” in 2005, their first
album, and only in 2008 they released a second one which was recorded in Brussels,
and was simply called “Benoit Martiny Band”. In the same year they also won the 1st
prize of the 2008 Amersfoort Jazz Talent Award! BMB has been performing in many
different venues all over Europe (Italy, Luxembourg, Germany, Hungary, Austria, The
Netherlands, France, Belgium...)
Now they are back with new music, so don’t miss this extraordinary show!!!

“Outsider’s mood” vise à refléter l’envie d’un groupe de jeunes musiciens du nord du
pays d’imposer un style, une atmosphère qui n’existait pas en tant que tel dans cette
région du Luxembourg: le Rythm’n Blues. Et ils réussissent à merveille de démontrer,
avec un style bien à eux, que « le Blues n’est pas que pour les vieux ». A découvrir
incessamment !

In this new project, Luxembourgish drummer Paul Fox is accompanied by well-established
Luxembourgish jazz musicians. Staying true to the jazz tradition but adding a
fresh touch of young spirit, this ensemble will turn your cold grey sky day into a glowing,
soulful one. Come and let yourself be carried away by the sound of OUTFOXED!

Véritable moteur de la scène blues britannique actuelle, King King fera vrombir la
scène du Liewenshaff avec sa mixture unique d’un blues-rock empreint de la voix
convaincante de son leader et de son jeu de guitare intransigeant, teinté de funk et
ponctué par des passages langoureux. A ne pas manquer !
