ARS NOVA LUX is an ensemble with variable geometry. The inhabited combination of musical instruments and chants that the ensemble proposed enthused the public. Founded by the luxembourgish composer Albena Petrovic and flutist Maria Miteva, the ensemble is produced in variables combination of instruments - of two to four musicians with flute, guitar, percussion and piano, according to the programs and the invitations. Coming from different pars of the world, the musicians are reunited in Luxembourg who are considered as their home and point of anchorage.The quality of the formation resides in the vivacity of the soloists in an ensemble and the interpretation of contemporary music, and is dedicated to interpretation of the music by luxembourgish composers. They are produced in the cadre of different festivals such as the Rainy days in Luxembourg, the March Music Days, the Sofia Music Weeks International Festival, the FOBA and the Varna Summer International Festival in Bulgaria, Praské Múzy in République Tchèque, the Balabanov House Music Days in Bulgaria, à l'Inter-nationales Gitarrentestival Augsburg in Germany, at Abbatiales in France, at Festival Spectrum in Slovenia, at World Music Artists or encore at Imaginary Places in Italy and Spaziomusica in Sardaigne. Subsequently, composers such as Rainer Bischof, Albena Petrovic and Michael Gredler have been inspired by the unique instrumentation and have dedicated special works to them.
The ensemble has attracted the attention of various organizers who have approached them with invitations to perform concerts, including the Austrian Cultural Forums in New York City, Washington D.C, New Delhi and Mexico, which have broadcast three online concerts by us in 2020/2021. The ensemble has already played at the “Varna Summer” Festival and “Sofia music weeks" in Bulgaria, at the concert series “Bláa kirkjan” in Iceland, at the “Mexican Center for Music and Sonic Arts” in Mexico, at “Foro Cultural Salvadoreño Alemán” in San Salvador, at the “Centro Nacional de la Música” in San Jose and at "Salon der Bank Austria" in Vienna, at the" Bridges” Festival in Luxembourg and at the “Gualitana” Festival in Malta.
