K-RUN 2026: Celebrating 10 Years of Running for a Good Cause
Runners, families, nature lovers and advocates for positive change, get ready for a truly special edition of the K-RUN! This year marks the 10th anniversary of the event that lies at the heart of Coopération Nord-Sud and the organisations spirit, where this year’s event promises to be more festive than ever before and invites everyone to celebrate longstanding tradition of the K-RUN.
On Sunday 28 June 2026, the woods of Bonnevoie will once again come alive with energy, music, and determination. Whether you choose the 5 km trail run or challenge yourself with the scenic 12 km course, every step you take will contribute to a greater cause. Each registration directly supports the educational projects of North-South Cooperation (NSC), helping to create opportunities and positive impact within and beyond Luxembourg’s borders in sub-saharan Africa. Over the past decade, the K-RUN has evolved into much more than just a race. It has grown into a community tradition built on solidarity, inclusion and togetherness. Even throughout years where the world was tested, through pandemic restrictions, the K-RUN remained present and took on a virtual form, never waning in spirit. Year after year, runners, volunteers, families and supporters continued to carry forward the event’s message of resilience and community.
Located just ten minutes by bus from Luxembourg City centre, the beautiful Bonnevoie woods offer participants a unique setting to immerse themselves in nature in a car-free environment and take on the challenge of the race. The K-RUN has always been about participation, not just performance, where competitive runners, beginners, nordic walkers, dog lovers and any form of outdoor enthusiasts are all welcome, making it the perfect event to enjoy with friends and family members of all ages. Visitors and participants can expect a vibrant and festive atmosphere throughout the day, featuring a pre-run workout, delicious food and activities for young and old alike.
As in previous years, the event proudly continues its commitment to sustainability. We encourage you to travel by public transport, bicycle or carpooling, helping to reduce the environmental impact of the event and ensuring that the celebration remains respectful of the beautiful natural setting that makes the K-RUN so special.
