Cynthia Knoch, born 1980 is a native of Luxembourg and received her first musical education in the Conservatory of Esch-sur-Alzette and Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg. After being educated as a dancer, she studied performing arts in Osnabrück (Germany). Her passion for classical music continued to grow, however, so she went to study classical singing in Maastricht (the Netherlands). After obtaining her bachelor’s degree, Cynthia Knoch continued her musical education at Fonty’s Conservatorium, Tilburg, where she completed her studies with the degree "Master of Music". Just one month later she was a finalist in the international Mozart singing competition in Prague. She was honoured to sing for a radio show marking the festival “Ad Honorem Mozart” at the “Estates Theatre”. Cynthia Knoch continued perfecting her vocal technique under the supervision of Tom Krause and Hubert Delamboye. She has attended many master classes, given by such famous teachers as Kurt Moll, Nelly Miricioiu, Roberta Alexander, Umberto Finazzi, Mya Besselink, Brigitta Seidler-Winkler and Pia Douwes. Cynthia Knoch made her stage debut in 2000 in Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story”. Since then she has appeared in many operettas, operas, solo recitals, musical comedies and concert shows. In 2012 she joined André Rieu and his Johann Strauss Orchestra and founded her ensemble « Lola Marie et Les Chats Noirs ». She is one of the singers who works with success on the both fields of modern and the classical - contemporary music.
