Graciela Magnoni was born in Uruguay but grew up between Brazil and France. Her career began in the Brazilian Press in 1984, going from photographing for a small political newspaper to the more mainstream press. In 1990, she moved to New York and worked for Brazilian and Argentinian papers and magazines, covering the news. Moving to Singapore in 2003, she started to photograph on the streets of Singapore and in many other cities around the region and the world. 


In 2021 her project NOSOTRAS, about women all over the world, was shortlisted for the Oskar Barnack Award in Germany. The same year she published her first book WATAN based on the Punjab region from both sides of the Indian and Pakistani border.
