Internet buzzing with police photo

(CS/hay) A photo showing a Luxembourg police car parked in a spot reserved for persons with disabilities has been making waves on the internet, but not all is as it seems.

While the photo was shot in 2009, it has resurfaced during the past couple of days causing many negative comments and public outrage about the police parking their car in a spot reserved for people with reduced mobility.

Parking in such as spot without a special permit carries a fine for motorists.

However, police have since clarified that a patrol had been called out urgently, after a group of people had bothered customers at a fast food restaurant in Foetz and then tried to make an escape.

Police therefore quickly parked their car at the closest spot available to pursue the suspects.
