Der Modern Blues-Sänger und Gitarrist Kid Colling wird am 20. März seine Debüt-EP Tomorrow’s Far Away“ in der Purple Lounge des CASINO 2OOO in Mondorf-les-Bains veröffentlichen.
„Tomorrow’s Far Away“ enthält fünf bluesige Songs, angereichert mit Elementen aus Rock, Jazz und Funk. Von Uptempo-Nummern bis hin zu langsameren Stücken betont jeder einzelne Song sowohl sein Talent als Singer-Songwriter und Gitarrist als auch seine musikalische Vielfalt. Die EP unterstreicht, dass Colling weit mehr ist als nur ein traditioneller Blues-Musiker: mit „Tomorrow’s Far Away” entführt er das Publikum auf eine aufregende, moderne und zugleich elegante Reise in die Welt des Blues.
Kid Colling, mit richtigem Namen Stephan Colling, ist ein luxemburgischer Sänger, Songwriter, Komponist, Arrangeur und Gitarrist der an der American School of Modern Music in Paris in Jazzmusik ausgebildet wurde. Nachdem er, zusammen mit Marly Marques, Leadsänger seiner ersten Rhythm & Blues Band war, arbeitet Colling als Gitarrist für den Mundharmonikaspieler Dave White sowie für verschiedene andere Formationen. 2012 gründet Colling die Band The Kid Colling Cartel. Unter der Stilbezeichnung „Modern Blues“ spielt die Band größtenteils Collings eigene Kompositionen und wagt sich an verschiedene musikalische Genres heran wie etwa Jazz, Rock, Funk und sogar Popmusik, ohne jedoch jemals ihre Blues-Ursprünge zu leugnen. Zahlreiche Konzerte in Luxemburg, Frankreich und Belgien ermöglichen dem Kid Colling Cartel sich einen Namen als „Modern Blues“-Band zu machen.

« Tomorrow’s Far Away » contient cinq chansons bluesy enrichies d’éléments de rock, jazz et funk. Allant de morceaux uptempo à des chansons plus calmes, chaque chanson souligne son talent comme auteur-compositeur-interprète et guitariste ainsi que sa diversité musicale. L’EP met en évidence que Colling est beaucoup plus qu’un simple musicien de blues traditionnel : avec « Tomorrow’s Far Away », il emmène le public à travers un voyage passionnant, moderne mais pourtant élégant dans le monde du blues.
Kid Colling, de son vrai nom Stephan Colling, est un chanteur, auteur, compositeur, arrangeur et guitariste luxembourgeois formé en jazz à l’American School of Modern Music à Paris. Après avoir chanté, ensemble avec Marly Marques, dans son premier groupe de rhythm & blues, Colling travaille comme guitariste pour l’harmoniciste Dave White ainsi que pour d’autres formations différentes. En 2012, Colling fonde le groupe The Kid Colling Cartel. Qualifiant leur style comme « Modern Blues », le groupe joue principalement les compositions de Colling et ose expérimenter avec des différents genres comme le jazz, le rock, le funk et même la musique pop – sans jamais nier leurs origines ancrées dans le blues. De nombreux concerts au Luxembourg, en France et en Belgique permettent au Kid Colling Cartel de se faire ainsi un nom comme groupe de blues moderne.

The Modern Blues-singer and –guitarist Kid Colling will release his debut EP “Tomorrow’s Far Away” on March 20 at the Purple Lounge of the CASINO 2OOO in Mondorf-les-Bains.
“Tomorrow’s Far Away” consists of five bluesy songs, enriched with rock, jazz and funk elements. Ranging from up-tempo tracks to more smooth songs, every single song emphasizes his talent as a singer-songwriter and guitarist as well as his musical diversity. The EP proves that Colling is much more than a traditional blues musician: with “Tomorrow’s Far Away”, he takes us to an exciting and modern yet elegant blues trip.
Kid Colling, also known by his real name Stephan Colling, is a Luxembourgish singer, songwriter, composer, arranger and guitarist trained in jazz music at the American School of Modern Music in Paris. After singing, together with Marly Marques, in his first rhythm & blues band, Colling works as a guitarist for the harmonica player Dave White as well as on various other projects. In 2012, Colling founds the band The Kid Colling Cartel. Describing their style as “Modern Blues”, the band plays mostly Colling’s own compositions and ventures into different genres such as jazz, rock, funk and even pop music, but without ever denying their blues roots. Numerous concerts in Luxembourg, France and Belgium enabled The Kid Colling Cartel to make a name for itself as a Modern Blues band.
